THE Coventry management have taken the decision to postpone this Sunday's event as the track needs to be perfect for an FIM track inspection prior to the Speedway World Cup - and two days of four wheeled motorsport takes it toll on the track, which would not be repaired in time for the inspection.
The dry conditions at last month's stock car weekend showed us how much damage can be caused and how long it takes to put the track back into top condition, and we simply cannot take the risk with such a high profile media orientated event.
The Brisca F1 meeting scheduled for this Saturday will remain unaffected and will run as normal.
Our thanks for your understanding of the position, both drivers and supporters, and we emphasise how sorry we are that we have had to take this decision.
